Introduction In today's volatile political climate, Canadian elections face a myriad of threats that threaten mainstream democracy. From increased risk to politicians to foreign interference in ideologically motivated extremist violence, the integrity of the electoral process is at stake. I. Increased Threats Against Politicians Extremists fuel their narratives with misinformation and grievances, leading to the normalization of threats against officials.
